Who Am I (all of me)

Howdy hi! I go by Tashi, Tai, Hani or even Shani whenever I'm free from the attic or boiler room. :](call me whichever, they're nicknames of the real name. ..or just use Eel lol, don't care)I'm a self-taught cook, voice actress, actress, artist, and composer in her 20s just trying to make a name for herself.Fun Fact: I have two Eeelize's because people have heard me as either a woman or a man and I LOVE their shocked responses HAHA.I've voice acted for 1 year (would love to again cause the industry in 2024 was TOXIC AS SHIII-), both drawing traditionally and digitally, as well as doing musicals since..4th grade so..12 years?? (COUGH, uh-) been cooking for roughly 16 years, and a composer for about 1 year as of my birthday(2/18)!I started February 2025, just using SoundTrap, throwing shit together till it head-bopped and stuck with that for about 7-ish months, until I could save up to get an actual DAW like Logic Pro (my main DAW and best purchase so far). I plan to get Pro Tools & FL Studio when I feel battle-ready for...whatever that is....For now though, I can make audio visualizers and soundtrack videos for ya like my channel showcases, haha.I create original music for animation, indie games, narrative projects, and VTuber branding, focusing on atmosphere, pacing, and emotional storytelling. However, I wouldn't mind making music for demo reels. My experience with voice acting has helped me better understand the performance, timing, and character-driven storytelling that music usually requires, as well as how strong the phrases "less is more" and "there's no rules, only guidelines" are heavily applied in the form of process and intention...and patience. Lots of patience. That perspective often influences how I approach music for scenes and dialogue-heavy moments. Although I only listen to japanese music, anime openings/outros, and video game soundtracks, my work blends anything and everything, such as cinematic, ambient, electronic, muzak, atmospheric elements, and more, with inspiration from Japanese media, video game soundtracks, and expressive online creators (such as Toby Fox's motifs, and coryxkenshin's personality for example).I enjoy crafting music that supports what’s happening on screen ALWAYS. Enhancing a scene’s feeling without overwhelming it is as fragile as getting a character's voice right - but you finalize it sonically instead.TLDR: I am very artistic and want to make use of it :D

Outside the Studio

I enjoy exploring creativity in many forms. I’ve spent years drawing both traditionally and digitally, and had experimented in 2024 with manga video editing. It's very fun, and I plan to get into it again sometime very soon.In the same year, I ran a voice acting parody channel! It was extremely fun, and was named "Cursed Moons Industries". It fell apart because of many MANY reasons and faults of my own and others (the channel description explains my reasons), but that form of content is what drove me to start taking steps into learning how people composed, and how I could too. Although 19 at the time, I had fun doing this and learning from it.When I’m not working on music or art, I enjoy cooking and experimenting with recipes. Creating something from scratch has always been one of my favorite ways to relax and stay inspired. I've also dabbled into baking, and made a good amount of tarts in 3 different flavors first try (after a test) for an event happening that same week. Cooking and drawing have been my biggest hobbies since birth, and I at least plan to pursue an A.A. culinary degree to open my own business someday. Aside from these, I also enjoy working out and am trying to get into meal prepping! (If you know anything about beginner calisthenics, PLEASE share.)For me, creativity doesn’t stay in one lane. Ever. Many of the hobbies I enjoy eventually circle back into the way I express, love, and care for myself, tell stories through sound or visuals, and build atmosphere and meaning in all I do.

Why I Create

I had a rough upbringing and had to "mature" before the age of 8. Despite still being a child, I knew too much about topics I should've known or been told about during middle or high school, and psychologically, it was overwhelmingly constant, especially if it involved my parents or friends at the time. I was always angry and never knew why, and at the time, finding the answers to that mattered more than knowledge, since it prevented me from caring about it in the first place. I felt like I was always by myself even with family and friends around. And ironically, extremely underdeveloped.Art is simple before you learn that fundamentals is even a word. You express what you see, feel, and/or think, and continue from there without putting much care into it. I began to cope using art as a stress relief or to calm (if not silence) extremely deep inner thoughts. As I got older, I've learned different ways to help myself as well as help others with my many artistic branches. It's helped me with some internal struggles, and expressing myself when words cannot come out or be properly conveyed, and especially when I had depression and unhealthy ways of coping. Plus, American schools get lockdowns way too often, so I had to worry about experiencing graduation as well. All of this has made me realize how impactful leaving a mark in the world is. And I wanted my forms to be non-perishables. For now, I've found music the best.I've been doing SO much better by now, and I solely have art, God, and my mother to thank. If my reasons never existed with me as a kid...well,I guess we'll never know.
I'm keeping it that way, too.
As long as I'm at peace before resting in it, all is well and will be.

My Approach + Creative Background

When I compose music for, my main goal is to support story and emotion of the scene rather than overpower it. Music should feel like it belongs to the world it’s in, while enhancing the atmosphere, pacing, and emotional weight of what’s happening on screen or what's foreshadowed now for something later on. This is also why I enjoy motifs so much, because you're able to make callbacks to important situations and encounters prior to the final reveal or plot twist.I often approach music the same way an actor approaches a performance: Timing, space, and intention all matter. Sometimes the most powerful moments in a piece come from restraint, where subtle textures or a simple motif can carry more emotion than a large arrangement. Especially when presented out of order (such as a villain's theme flowing into a hero's and two parts of their theme remind the viewer of a scene prior, or a motif hauntingly repeating itself when something isn't right, and has a monster's motif/theme mixed into it.)I also believe strongly in the idea that while there are many guidelines in music, creativity shouldn’t feel restricted by any rules given. Each project is always extremely different, in both pacing, needs, and lengths. My process focuses on finding the sound and structure that best fits the scene, the characters, and the world being created. And anything funny lol.Patience and experimentation are a big part of my workflow. Many ideas start as simple sketches that always evolve over time until they feel natural, ready, and emotionally aligned with the project or goal they’re written for.Above all, my approach is about creating music that feels intentional, personal, relatable, immersive, and emotionally connected to the story and viewers/team it supports.

Thank you for reading. It means a lot.
